Great Visit to France/Grande Visita in Francia

Sorry I haven't been with you for a while but once again I’ve been caught up in school work. When I went to France on Holiday I had a great time, watching two great rugby matches 1 in Bayonne and the other in Dax where Noa plays. On the way to stay at are friends house we stopped off at a restaurant called Le Dauphin Bleu in La Barp, it was quite hard to order but not too hard to eat the food. We arrived at Dax where they live at round about 5:00 it was a very nice and big house and very comfortable. We went out to eat that night at a very nice restaurant but really posh. The food was great I had a massive burger and then a lovely crème brulee for desert. The next morning, me my Mum and my Dad went out in to Dax to see the market my sister Tabitha didn’t want to come because she was too busy playing with Noa and Natalie girls Donatalia and Siobhan we got back to the house ready to go to the Bayonne vs. Clermont match at Bayonne but before we head out Natalie did some Foi gras with some bread, my Mum said I was probably one of the first 11 year old boy to eat Foi gras but it was delicious and I Just couldn’t  stop myself from having more. After that we drove off to Bayonne to see the match it was very busy and are places where un fortunately right in front of the sun but it was still a good match, Noa's cousin was playing wing for Bayonne his name is Joe Rokocoko ex New Zealand player, Bayonne where 15-22 down in the last minutes but in the last minute Bayonne scored a try and converted it and that was it 22-22 final score. After the match I got to meet Noa's friend Neemia Tialata also ex New Zealand player as you can see in the photo above. We went straight back to Dax for their match Noa wasn’t playing because he was injured. Dax won the game 21-16 against Narbonne it wasn’t the most exiting match but Dax managed to get the win anyway.  Though I think Dax have a great stadium.

The next day we had a great walk around a lake in Dax sadly tough we had to drive to the airport afterwards to go home, I had a great weekend thank you Noa, Natalie, Donatalia, Siobhan and Mosese.

Scusa se non sono stato con voi per un po’ ma ancora una volta sono stato inpegnato con I compiti. Quando sono stato in Francia mi sono divertito moltissimo, ho guardato due partite di rugby uno a Bayonne e l’altro a Dax dove gioca Noa.  Sulla strada per andare alla casa dei nostri amici ci siamo fermati ad un ristorante di nome La Dauphin Bleu a La Barp era abbastanza difficile ordinare ma non tanto difficile mangiare il cibo era buonissimo. Siamo arrivati a Dax verso le 5:00 e quella sera siamo usciti a mangiare fuori ad un ristorante molto bella ma molto elegante.  Io ho avuto un grossimo burger e per desert un dolcissimo creme brulee.La prossima mattina siamo usciti io mia mamma e mi babbo per vedere il mercato di Dax mia sorella Tabitha non voleva uscire perche’ era piu’ occupata ad giocare le figlie di Noa e Natalie, Don Italia e Soubhan siamo tornati alla casa prnti per andare a Bayonne ma prima Natalie ci fecce del foi gras e pane mia mamma mi disse che forse ero uno dei primi ragazzi di 11 anni che ha assagiato foi gras. Dopo quello siamo partiti per andare a vedere Bayonne vs Clermont era molto occupato e i nostri posti erano proprio davanti al sole ma era sempre una bellissima partita il cugino di Noa giocava da parte di Bayonne si chiama Joe Rokocoko ex giocatore della Nuova Zelanda. Bayonne stava perdendo 15-22 ma poi il Bayonne ha fatto meta nei ultimi minuti e segno’ anche la trasformazione ed e’ finita cosi 22-22 risultato finale. Dopo la partita ho conoscuto l’amico di Noa, Neemia Tialata anche lui un ex giocatore della Nuova Zelanda. Siamo tornati subito a Dax per vedere la loro partita hanno vinto 21-16 non era una belissima ma sono riusciti a vincere. Ma credo che Dax abbiano un bellissimo stadio.

Il prossimo giorno siamo andati tutti a fare una passeggiata vincino al lagho triste mente pero’ siamo dovuti andare all’areoporto per ritornare in Italia. Grazie di nuovo Noa,Natalie,Don Italia, Soubhan e Mosese.

Great weekend in France

All the gang.

On Friday I had to get up at 2:00 o'clock in the morning, but at least it was for a good reason. We had to catch a flight from Rome to Bordeaux at 6:00 to go on holiday and visit are friends Noa and Natalie Soqeta and their family. We met them at Cavalieri Prato where Noa used to play and became good friends. He now plays in France for Dax in the 1st Division and are 2nd in the league and will hopefully go up to the Super 14 next season. We all had a fantastic time, thankyou so much to Noa and Natalie for a great holiday. An in depth report about are holiday in Dax, later on, or tommorrow.

Venerdi mi sono dovuto svegliare alle 2:00 di mattina, ma almeno era per un buon motivo. Abbiamo dovuto prendere l'aereoplano da Roma a Bordeaux alle 6:00 per andare in vacanza e vistare i nostri amici, Noa and Natalie Soqueta e la loro famiglia. Li abbiamo conosciuti l'anno scorso a Cavalieri Prato dove prima giocava Noa e siamo diventati dei buon amici. Ora gioca in Francia per Dax nella 1 divisione e sono secondi in classifica e si spera che passerano nei Super 14 nella prossima stagione. Ci siamo divertiti un botto, grazie a Noa e Natalie per una bellissima vacanza. Una relazione di profondita' della nostra vacanza a Dax dopo, o domani.

Rugby Anybody?

On Saturday I went to a very snowy Rome to watch Italy play England in the 2012 Six Nations. Italy played well to finish the first half 12-6 up,they scored two tries one from Giovanbattista Venditti and the second from Tommaso Benvenuti and England scored two penaltys. In the second half England came back with another charged down kick and try from Charlie Hodgson and conversion from Owen Farrell but after that England continued to play well and won the game 19-15. Man of the match Italian Captain Sergio Parisse.

As you all know the France vs Ireland game was called off with ten minutes before kick-off, well done to the Irish for playng touch rugby to entertain the fans.

The other game the next day was between Wales and Scotland the star was Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny scoring a total of 22 points with two tries and a few kicks in a 27-13 victory over the Scots. Now Wales are definately the ones to beat in the 2012 Rugby Six Nations.

Sabato sono andato a un Roma molto nevoso a vedere Italia vs Inghilterra nelle Sei Nazioni 2012 l'Italia ha giocato bene finendo il primo tempo 12-6 per loro con due mete la prima di Giovanbattista Venditti e il secondo di Tommaso Benvenuti e l'Inghilterra ha calciato due punizioni. Nel secondo tempo l'Inghilterra e' tornato con un'altro calcio addebitato giu' da Charlie Hodgson e la trasformazione di Owen Farrell ma dopo quello l'Inghilterra ha continuato a giocare bene e' ha vinto la partita 19-15. Man of the match capitano dell' Italia Sergio Parisse.

Come saprete tutti la partita fra Francia e Irlanda e' stato cancellato dieci minuti prima della partita, bravi ai giocatori Irlandesi per aver giocato un po' di touch sul campo.

L'altra partita il giorno precedente era fra Galles e Scozia il migliore era l'estremo del Galles Leigh Halfpenny segnando 22 punti con due mete e un paio di calci  in una vittoria 27-13 contro i Scotsesi. Il Galles e' di sicuro la squadra da battere nelle Sei Nazioni 2012

The Rugby 2012 Six Nations kicked off on Saturday with a great match between France and Italy. The Italians were defending the Trofeo Garibaldi after last years surprise victory over the French (I was there watching it with my dad, grandad and the a hole bunch of our club).This year they didn't have the same luck, they lost 30-12  but they played well, hit hard and had a couple of good runs.

The other match was between a very new England squad and Scotland. To be honest it was quite a bad show from both teams, at half time England were losing 6-3 but as soon as England kicked off for the second half Scotland where on their tryline, they passed it out to Dan Parks to kick but then Charlie Hodgson charged down the kick and over for the try he went with the Owen Farrell conversion on his debut and later on penalty England scrape by winning 13-6.

The next day Wales played Ireland in a fantastic match. The Welsh at the start always looked like winning but after a great try from Rory Best for the Irish it all changed it was 21-20 to Ireland in the last seconds and then the whistle blew, I bet the Irish thought it was all over but it was a penalty for Wales all the preasure was on Leigh Halfpenny a great kicker but never been under that kind of presure he get's the kick and the Welsh have won 23-21. A great match, did you see it?

Le Sei Nazioni 2012 e' partito con una bellissima partita fra Francia e Italia. Gli Italiani stavano prottegendo il trofeo Garibaldi dopo la inaspetata vittoria contro i Francesi l'anno scorso a Roma (io c'ero a guardalo con il mio babbo, nonno e tanti del Siena). Quest'anno pero non hanno avuto la stessa fortuna hanno perso 30-12 ma hanno giocato bene hanno placcato forte e hanno fatte delle bellissime azioni.

L'altra partita era fra una squadra nuovissima dell'Inghilterra e la Scozia se devo dire la verita la partita non e' stata molto bella a fine primo tempo l'Inghilterra perdeva 6-3 ma appena l'Inghilterra a calciato per iniziare il secondo la Scozia era su la propria linea di meta l'hanno aperto a Dan Parks per calciala ma Charlie Hoogdson  tasse giu' la palla e meta con la trasformazione di Owen Farrell sul suo debutto e poco dopo un' altra punizione l'Inghilterra riesce a vincere di pocissimo 13-6.

Il giorno dopo il Galles  gioca l'Irlanda dall'inizio il Galles sembrava sempre di vincere ma dopo la meta dell'Irlandese Rory Best tutto cambia l'Irlanda stava vincendo 21-20 nei ultimi secondi poil'arbitro fiscia credo che gli Irlandesi credesero che era tutto finito ma era punizione per il Galles tutta la pressione su Leigh Halfpenny un bravissimo calciatore ma mai stato sotto tutta quella pressione il calcio lo fa e il Galles ha vinto. Una bellissima partita voi lo avete visto.

SIENA RUGBY 29 JANUARY 2012

Here I Go

On Sunday I woke up and I just couldn't move my neck, it was really scarey because that morning I had a tournament at are home ground in Siena. I didn't tell my dad because he's my coach and he would of probably said "well I have to put you on the bench or sorry but you can't play but you can come and watch", but I can't do that, I've always started a game and I'm not intending to stop now, thankyou. So I got in the car, when we got to the ground it felt even worse so at that point I was that close to shouting out loud (THAT I HATED MYSELF,  FIRST MY ARM NOW MY NECK WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE WRONG WITH IT). After I'd changed we where all in the changing rooms and my dad and Roberto came in to nominate the two Captains for the day, because there are always two teams (BLACK AND WHITE). He says Beppe was the white's captain and I was back being captain for the blacks, it was great to know that I was captain but I was worried my neck could get worse. Are first match was against Firenze B, I played outside centre, my friend Pietro scored our first try in the corner but after 5 mins we where struggling in the middle so they leveled the score 1-1 and I still hadn't touched the ball, then there was a penalty for us on our try line so Tommaso kicked the ball down the field with me chasing, nobody was back and it bounced perfectly up to me and over for the try I went diving, as soon as I touched the ground my neck went click, I got up and my neck felt so much better. That game finished 2-1 to us. Then we had to play Firenze A that one finished 4-1 for us and me scoring twice. After that we had to play Cavalieri Prato by then we where all quite confident we won 5-1 me crossing 3 times. We had to play are teammates Siena White after that and we didn't really take it that seriously which was stupid as we won 3-2 with me crossing twice. By then we had pretty much won it all because even if we had to play Arezzo the toughest game they had already lost 1 but we still wanted to win but at that time me and my team had all run out of steam. We where losing 2-1 with not long to go but all of a sudden the ball was coming out to the wing at a rate of knots, when I got the ball I didn't even think about side-steping or rolling, so I went at full speed as straight as possible I got past a few and over for the try.(YES) We had drawn with Arezzo and won the whole tournament it was great. P.S Our next tournament is in Arezzo and I'm sure they'll want victory this time.

Domenica mi sono alzato e non riuscivo a senttirmi il collo era davvero pauroso perche' quella mattina avevo un concentramento al nostro campo di Siena non lo volevo dire al mio babbo perche' lui e' il mio allenatore e mi avrebbe detto o dovro' metterti in pancchina o non puoi giocare pero' ti potero' a guardare ma io questo non lo posso fare ho sempre inizato una partita e non intendo smettere ora, grazie. Sono entrato in macchina e quando siamo arrivati al campo il collo mi faceva ancora piu' male di prima stavo per urlare piu' forte che potevo (MI ODDIO COSI TANTO PRIMA IL BRACCIO ORA IL COLLO MA CHE DIAVOLO CI SARA' DI MALE QUESTA VOLTA). Dopo che mi ero cambiato eravamo tutti negli spogliatoi mio babbo e Roberto sono entrati per nominare i due capitani del giorno perche' ci sono sempre due squadre (NERI E BIANCHI). Ha detto che Peppe era il capitano dei bianchi e io quello dei neri ero contento di essere il capitano ma avevo paura che il collo potesse peggiorare. La nostra prima partita era contro Firenze B il mio amico Pietro ha segnato la prima meta ma dopo 5 minuti  stavamo perdendo nel ragruppamento e' hanno pareggiato il punteggio 1-1 e io ancora non avevo toccato palla ma al l'improviso c'era un punizione a favore nostro dalla nostra linea di meta Tommaso ha calciato la palla piu' forte che poteva con me che seguivo la palla a tutto fuoco e visto che non c'era nessuno dietro mi e' rimbalzata benissimo e meta tufandomi appena tocco' terra il mio collo fecci click! Mi sono alzato e il mio collo stava tutto a posto. Quella partita e' finita 2-1 per noi. Poi abbiamo giocato il Firenze A quella partita l'abbiamo vinta 4-1 con me faccendo due mete. Dopo quelle partite eravamo molto convinti abbiamo battuto i Cavalieri Prato 5-1 io ho fatto 3 mete. Poi abbiamo dovuto giocare i nostri compagni il Siena Bianco non ci siamo comportati molto sul serio che era stupido pero abbiamo vinto 3-2 e con me faccendo 2 mete. A questo punto avevamo gia vinto tutto il concentramento anche se dovevamo giocare contro l'Arezzo la partita piu' dura perche' loro avevano gia' perso una partita ma a quel punto io e la mia squadra eravamo tutti stanci stavamo perdendo 2-1 con poco tempo rimasto ma poi mi sono accorto che la palla usciva velocemente all'ala quando ho presso la palla non ho pensato di fare finte o cose del genere ma sono andato diritto a tutta velocita' e ho fatto meta,(SI!) avevamo pareggiato con l'Arezzo e avevamo vinto tutto il concentramento era grandioso. P.S La nostra prossima concentramento sara' ad Arezzo e di sicuro questa volta voranno la vittoria.

Bryan Young is a God

Hi, you can not believe how proud this 11 year old Rugby Geek is at the moment. Yesterday afternoon after the Cavalieri vs Exeter match I had to say goodbye to a friend of mine, Bryan Young. Bryan played rugby for Ulster for 8 years and played for Irland 8 times as prop. Bryan joined Cavalieri this season but unluckily he has got an injury which means he can not play rugby again.

He was not just a great player but a great person who always had time for me and always encouraged me in my rugby. Before he left for Ireland he gave me some of his training gear and his last ever pair of rugby boots and I will take care of them until they finaly fit me (I hope he expects me to keep them not just to clean his boots). I am really happy to have met him and I will miss him and maybe one day I'll be as good as him.

I will miss him, Cavalieri will miss him and rugby will miss him.

Ciao, non potrete credere quanto sia' orgoglioso questo RugbyGeek di 11 anni in questo momento. Ieri pomeriggio dopo la partita dei Cavalieri vs Exeter ho dovuto salutare un mio amico, Bryan Young. Bryan ha giocato 8 anni per Ulster e ha giocato 8 volte per l'Irlanda come pilone. Bryan e' venuto ai Cavalieri questa stagione infortunatamente ha un infortunio che vuol dire non puo' piu' giocare a rugby.

Non e' solo un bravissimo giocatore ma una persona che ha sempre avuto tempo per me e' mi ha  sempre incoraggiato nel mio rugby. Prima che senne' andato per l'Irlanda mi ha lasciato un po' delle sue attresature e le sue ultime scarpe da rugby e le tero' cura finche' non centrano a me. (Spero proprio che me le ha datti per tenere non solo per pulirli le scarpe). Sono davvero contento di avverlo incontrato e forse un giorno diventero' bravo come lui. A me mancera' ai Cavalieri li macera' e mancera' anche al rugby.

Happy 2012 / Buon 2012

Sorry that I have not been with you for a while but it's been so hectic for Christmas and the New Year, and it was my sisters 7th birthday yesterday and my Dads birthday on the 31st. I'm going to see Cavalieri Prato vs Calvisano on Sunday with my Dad but I don't think I'll be very relaxed because the next day it's my first day back at school. I'm busy with my Jonny Wilkinson book, it's amazing he's more of a rugby geek than me (well not quite). I've got some big tournaments coming up this year in Treviso, Elba, San Dona and of course the normal local one's. I'm seriously thinking about going to Cavalieri next year not beacuse I don't like Siena, I love it but Cavalieri is such a big club and have more facilaties.

Scusa se e' da tanto che non ci sono ma e' stato cosi frenetica a Natale e l'Anno nuovo ed e' stato il 7 compleanno della mia sorella e quello del mio babbo il 31. Domenica vado a vedere Cavalieri Prato vs Calvisano  con mio babbo ma non credo che saro' rilassato perche' il prossimo e' il primo giorno di scuola. Sono molto occuppato con il mio libro di Jonny Wilkinson e' fantastico e' piu' un rugby geek di me (be quasi). Ho molti grandi tornei quest'anno in Treviso,Elba,San Dona, e ovviamente quelli locali. Sto seriamente pensando di andare ai Cavaliei il prossimo anno non perche' il Siena non mi piace io lo amo ma i Cavalieri e' una squadra molto piu' grande e a piu' strutture.
