While I've been away

There I go!

Hiya guys, I'm so sorry I haven't done anything on my blog for so long I have been so busy this summer holidays, with homework, rugby training and lot's of other things, and it's been so hot lately here in Tuscany about 38 degrees the last couple of weeks.

Anyway the last couple of months have been full of rugby, with the Premiership Final, Heineken Cup final, and of course the Lions tour!

I saw nearly all of the Lions matches ( they were great!), Leigh Halfpenny, George North, Tom Youngs, Jonny Sexton, were all absolutely fantastic. And I guess the Aussies were ok as well, Israel Folau, Will Genia,  Adam Ashely- Cooper, James O'cconor, also great.!

Well the training starts again at the end of August and I just can't wait, last season was good, but we always aim high and this year more than ever! We have got a good bunch of boys coming up from the under 12s and of course the guys from last year as well.

I played fly-half all of last season (my favourite position) and I intend to play there for the rest of my career. This is my last year at middle school, I've got my exams at the end of the year so it's going to be a very big year of studying and training for me.

After middle school my aim is to go to school in England not because I want to leave Italy but because the sport facilities in schools here are just not good enough, especially for rugby and that is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I know it's odd to hear a 12 year old boy saying stuff like that but I am serious about my rugby and like I said rugby is what I want to do.

Anyway I will try to update my blog more often.

  Ciao ragazzi mi dispiace tanto che non ho fatto nulla sul mio blog per così tanto tempo sono stato così impegnato questa vacanze estive, con i compiti, e ad allenarmi e altre cose, ed è stato così caldo ultimamente qui in Toscana circa 38 gradi l'ultimo paio di settimane.

In ogni caso l'ultimo paio di mesi sono stati pieni di rugby, con la Premiership finale, finale della Heineken Cup, e naturalmente il Lions tour!

Ho visto quasi tutte le partite dei Lions (erano fantastici!), Leigh Halfpenny, George Nord, Tom Youngs, Jonny Sexton, tutti assolutamente fantastici. E ovviamente anche gli australiani erano bravissimi , Israel Folau, Will Genia, Adam Ashely-Cooper, James O'cconor, anche loro fortissimi.!



Beh, la allenamento inizia di nuovo alla fine di agosto e io non vedo l'ora, la scorsa stagione è stata buona, ma abbiamo sempre puntato in alto e quest'anno più che mai! Abbiamo un buon gruppo di ragazzi in arrivo da under 12 e, naturalmente, i ragazzi del l'anno scorso.

Ho giocato mediano d'apertura tutta la scorsa stagione (la mia posizione preferita) e tendo a farlo per il resto della mia carriera. Questo è il mio ultimo anno di scuola media, ho i miei esami alla fine dell'anno, e sta per essere un grande anno di studio e di allenamento per me.

Dopo la scuola media il mio obiettivo è quello di andare a scuola in Inghilterra, non perché voglio lasciare l'Italia, ma perché

gli impianti sportivi nelle scuole qui non sono solo abbastanza buoni, soprattutto per il rugby e questo è ciò che voglio fare per il resto della mia vita. Lo so che è strano sentire un ragazzo di 12 anni dire cose del genere, ma sono serio sul mio rugby e come ho detto il rugby è quello che voglio fare.

Comunque cercherò di aggiornare il mio blog più spesso.

Just Me

Hiya, i think I better tell you guys what has been going on in the last few months (rugby wise) obliviously!.
Well, I am playing fly-half for Siena under 14 (fantastic) I have played every match of the season so far and have come off only once. I have scored 3 tries not that many compared to last seasons 17 tries, but that is not important. We have won a few and lost a few, but all the guys know that we can do so much better. From  what I have seen a lot of the boys mentality towards the game has changed, they take it a lot more seriously than they did at the start of the season. Sometimes it is hard going in to a game knowing that we have all worked hard and want it so much, and then coming out, and it just doesen't go your way. But we have won our last 3 matches and don't want to stop now. Last weekend we played Firenze 1931 and won 31-22 it was a very famous win for us, because it was the first time Siena under 14 had ever beaten Firenze in Siena's history.

As you will all know the Six Nations has started, I think it has been quite an odd six nations so far with Italy beating France, England beating Ireland and then Wales beating France after not having won in their last 8 games. Anyway will see. I'm of to Rome on Saturday to see Italy v Wales, that will be an interesting match.
I'll try to keep in touch more, but you know with school, rugby, girls, no sorry just school and rugby.
P.S Whoever gets to watch the matches at the weekend do let me know what you thoughts about the matches.

Ciao, penso che meglio vi dico ragazzi che cosa sta succedendo nell'ultimo pochi mesi (rugby saggio) ovviamente. Bene, sto giocando mediano d'apertura per Siena under 14 (fantastico) ho giocato tutte le partite della stagione seminare lontano e sono venuti di una sola volta. Io ho segnato 3 mete non che molti rispetto all'ultima stagione 17  mete, ma questo non è importante. Abbiamo vinto alcuni e perso un paio, ma tutti i ragazzi sanno che possiamo fare molto meglio di scrofa. Da che cosa io ho visto un sacco di ragazzi ha cambiato mentalità verso il gioco lo prendono molto più seriamente di quanto hanno fatto all'inizio della stagione. A volte è difficile andando a un gioco sapendo che tutti abbiamo lavorato duramente e vuole seminare molto e poi venire e appena doesen ' t andare la tua strada. Ma abbiamo vinto le nostre ultime 3 partite e non voglio smettere ora. Lo scorso fine settimana abbiamo giocato Firenze 1931 e  vinto 31-22 che è stata una vittoria molto famosa per noi, perché era la prima volta Siena under 14 aveva mai battuto Firenze nella storia di Siena. Come tutti sapete che i sei nazioni hanno iniziato, penso che è stato abbastanza una strana sei nazioni seminano molto con l'Italia batte la Francia, Inghilterra battendo l'Irlanda e il Galles poi battendo la Francia dopo non aver vinto nel loro ultimo 8 giochi. Qualsiasi che vedremo. Io sono a Roma il sabato a vedere l'Italia v Galles, che sarà una partita interessante. Cercherò di tenere a toccare più, ma non si sa con scuola, rugby, ragazze, non mi dispiace solo scuola e rugby. PS Chi arriva a vedere la partita di sabato fatemi sapere quello che avete pensato sulla partita. Last year at Topolino. Und 12.

Sorry I have not written alot lately but I've been so busy with school and especially with rugby training.
I train 3 times a week and have a match every weekend. As I told you in the last post I did, I went to see Italy vs New Zealand on the 17 of November  it was a great match ( for italy).  The All Blacks won 42-10 but were brought down to Italys level, this is something that Italy does very well to good teams. New Zealand made it look hard for themselves, but they are just so much better than  Italy to make the difference. But I have got to say it was an amazing experience to see the the All Blacks.

As for me playing rugby, our team Cus Siena Rugby Und. 14 have played a few matches in the last weekends or so.  We played Livorno and Perugia and lost to both much bigger sides than us. We also lost to Vasari Arezzo and Firenze, but we beat Gispi Prato. This season so far we have not played well, we have some good players with individual skills but we lack agression, determination, and the true will to win. I find it very hard to play and enjoy my rugby when most of the team are just there for fun. I'm finding this season difficult as I am playing more as a team player and not backing my own skills, I need to get back to the old Archie and back myself. I think it's going to be a very long season.

Couldn't watch the England v New Zealand game live as I was playing at the time. Watched the match later, WHAT A GAME.
Shame I couldn't watch it with my friend Billy Ngawini as it would have been nice to make fun of him for once. I don't think I'll get that chance often.
Also went to watch Billy play today against Stade Francais at Prato. Billy played really well and set up a great try in the first half but Stade where just to strong and PINK and won 23- 37.

p.s but I don't no why Cavalieri played a Prop on the wing.

Scusa se non ho scritto un sacco ultimamente ma sono stato così occupato con la scuola e soprattutto con la formazione di rugby.

Mi alleno 3 volte a settimana e hanno una partita ogni fine settimana. Come vi ho detto nel post precedente sono andato a vedere Italia vs Nuova Zelanda il 17 novembre è stata una grande partita (per l'Italia). Gli All Blacks ha vinto 42-10, ma sono stati portati fino al livello Italiano, questo è qualcosa che l'Italia fa molto bene a buone squadre. Nuova Zelanda ha fatto sembrare difficile per se stessi, ma sono solo molto meglio che in Italia per fare la differenza. Ma ho avuto modo di dire che è stata un'esperienza incredibile per vedere i gli All Blacks.


Quanto a me a giocare a rugby, la nostra squadra del Cus Siena Rugby Und. 14 hanno giocato qualche partita negli ultimi fine settimana o giù di lì. Abbiamo giocato Livorno e Perugia e ha perso entrambidue squadre molto più grandi di noi. Abbiamo anche perso il Vasari Arezzo e Firenze, ma abbiamo battuto Gispi Prato. In questa stagione fino ad ora non abbiamo giocato bene, abbiamo alcuni buoni giocatori con abilità individuali, ma ci manca aggressività, la determinazione, e la vera volontà di vincere. Trovo molto difficile da giocare e godere il mio rugby, quando la maggior parte della squadra sono lì solo per divertimento. Mi sto trovando in questa stagione difficile come sto giocando più come un giocatore di squadra e non sforzo le mie capacità, ho bisogno di tornare al vecchio Archie e ritorno me stesso. Penso che sarà una stagione molto lunga.


Non potevo vedere il Inghilterra v Nuova Zelanda partita in diretta mentre stavo giocando in quel momento. lo guardato dopo CHE PARTITA.

Peccato che non ho potuto vederlo con il mio amico Billy Ngawini come sarebbe stato bello prendere gioco di lui per una volta. Io non penso di avere questa possibilità spesso.

Sono anche andato a vedere giocare Billy oggi contro lo Stade Francais a Prato. Billy giocato molto bene e creare una prova eccellente nel primo tempo, ma Stade era forte forte e rosa e ha vinto 23 - 37.


ps ma non ho capito perche i Cavalieri hanno giocato un pilone_ sull'ala

Sesto Prato vs Siena Rugby Club Under 14

This weekend we played are second match of the season against Sesto Prato which is a mix of Cavalieri Prato and Gispi Prato it was a well faught match from both sides we won 19-0 but in the conditions we played in it could have gone either way. Rain and lightning for pretty much the whole game it was a very foward orientated game and alot of kicking back and forward. The boys where very nervous before the game, including me so we where all very happy to come away with the win. But as the whole team knows we need to work on our line-out and more importantly understand that rugby is a team sport.

Me, Dad, Mum, Sister and Grandad are off to Rome on 17th of November to see the Rugby Autumn International Italy vs New Zealand.
We also have the tickets to go and see Italy in the Six Nations v France, Ireland and Wales all at Rome.

Cavalieri Prato also played this weekend against Rovigo and lost 16-9 but good luck to them in there next match.

U.S Dax played Carassonne and just lost 37-30 good luck to them in there there next match too. And a big HELLO! To are friends in France Noa, Natalie and their kids and I'm not writing their names because I don't know them, but because I'm afraid of getting them wrong.


Questo fine settimana abbiamo giocato il nostro secondo match di campionato contro il Prato Sesto goduto è un misto di Cavalieri Prato e Gispi Prato è stata una partita ben combattuta da entrambi i lati abbiamo vinto 19-0, ma nelle condizioni in cui abbiamo giocato in essa avrebbe potuto andare in entrambi i modi . Pioggia e fulmini per tutta la partita era un gioco molto da avanti e un sacco di calci avanti e indietro. I ragazzi erano molto nervosi prima della partita, compreso me, così che dove tutti molto contenti di venire via con la vittoria. Ma, come tutta la squadra sa che abbiamo bisogno di lavorare sul nostro tush e soprattutto capire che il rugby è uno sport di squadra.


Io, papà, mamma, la sorella e il nonno andiammo a Roma il 17 novembre per vedere Rugby Autunno Iternational Italia vs Nuova Zelanda.

E abbiamo i biglietti per andare a vedere l'Italia nel Sei Nazioni contro Francia, Irlanda e Galles il tutto a Roma.


Cavalieri Prato ha giocato questo fine settimana contro il Rovigo e perso 16-9, ma buona fortuna a loro dentro prossima partita.


US Dax Carassonne giocato questo fine settimana e appena perso 37-30 buona fortuna a loro in là ci prossima partita. E grande CIAO! Per i nostri amici il nostro in Francia Noa, Natalie e là i bambini e io non sto scrivendo loro i nomi, perché non lo faccio ora, ma perché ho ​​paura scrivere male.

Last Weekends Six Nations 2012

Rugby Anybody?

On Saturday I went to a very snowy Rome to watch Italy play England in the 2012 Six Nations. Italy played well to finish the first half 12-6 up,they scored two tries one from Giovanbattista Venditti and the second from Tommaso Benvenuti and England scored two penaltys. In the second half England came back with another charged down kick and try from Charlie Hodgson and conversion from Owen Farrell but after that England continued to play well and won the game 19-15. Man of the match Italian Captain Sergio Parisse.

As you all know the France vs Ireland game was called off with ten minutes before kick-off, well done to the Irish for playng touch rugby to entertain the fans.

The other game the next day was between Wales and Scotland the star was Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny scoring a total of 22 points with two tries and a few kicks in a 27-13 victory over the Scots. Now Wales are definately the ones to beat in the 2012 Rugby Six Nations.

Sabato sono andato a un Roma molto nevoso a vedere Italia vs Inghilterra nelle Sei Nazioni 2012 l'Italia ha giocato bene finendo il primo tempo 12-6 per loro con due mete la prima di Giovanbattista Venditti e il secondo di Tommaso Benvenuti e l'Inghilterra ha calciato due punizioni. Nel secondo tempo l'Inghilterra e' tornato con un'altro calcio addebitato giu' da Charlie Hodgson e la trasformazione di Owen Farrell ma dopo quello l'Inghilterra ha continuato a giocare bene e' ha vinto la partita 19-15. Man of the match capitano dell' Italia Sergio Parisse.

Come saprete tutti la partita fra Francia e Irlanda e' stato cancellato dieci minuti prima della partita, bravi ai giocatori Irlandesi per aver giocato un po' di touch sul campo.

L'altra partita il giorno precedente era fra Galles e Scozia il migliore era l'estremo del Galles Leigh Halfpenny segnando 22 punti con due mete e un paio di calci  in una vittoria 27-13 contro i Scotsesi. Il Galles e' di sicuro la squadra da battere nelle Sei Nazioni 2012

The Rugby 2012 Six Nations kicked off on Saturday with a great match between France and Italy. The Italians were defending the Trofeo Garibaldi after last years surprise victory over the French (I was there watching it with my dad, grandad and the a hole bunch of our club).This year they didn't have the same luck, they lost 30-12  but they played well, hit hard and had a couple of good runs.

The other match was between a very new England squad and Scotland. To be honest it was quite a bad show from both teams, at half time England were losing 6-3 but as soon as England kicked off for the second half Scotland where on their tryline, they passed it out to Dan Parks to kick but then Charlie Hodgson charged down the kick and over for the try he went with the Owen Farrell conversion on his debut and later on penalty England scrape by winning 13-6.

The next day Wales played Ireland in a fantastic match. The Welsh at the start always looked like winning but after a great try from Rory Best for the Irish it all changed it was 21-20 to Ireland in the last seconds and then the whistle blew, I bet the Irish thought it was all over but it was a penalty for Wales all the preasure was on Leigh Halfpenny a great kicker but never been under that kind of presure he get's the kick and the Welsh have won 23-21. A great match, did you see it?

Le Sei Nazioni 2012 e' partito con una bellissima partita fra Francia e Italia. Gli Italiani stavano prottegendo il trofeo Garibaldi dopo la inaspetata vittoria contro i Francesi l'anno scorso a Roma (io c'ero a guardalo con il mio babbo, nonno e tanti del Siena). Quest'anno pero non hanno avuto la stessa fortuna hanno perso 30-12 ma hanno giocato bene hanno placcato forte e hanno fatte delle bellissime azioni.

L'altra partita era fra una squadra nuovissima dell'Inghilterra e la Scozia se devo dire la verita la partita non e' stata molto bella a fine primo tempo l'Inghilterra perdeva 6-3 ma appena l'Inghilterra a calciato per iniziare il secondo la Scozia era su la propria linea di meta l'hanno aperto a Dan Parks per calciala ma Charlie Hoogdson  tasse giu' la palla e meta con la trasformazione di Owen Farrell sul suo debutto e poco dopo un' altra punizione l'Inghilterra riesce a vincere di pocissimo 13-6.

Il giorno dopo il Galles  gioca l'Irlanda dall'inizio il Galles sembrava sempre di vincere ma dopo la meta dell'Irlandese Rory Best tutto cambia l'Irlanda stava vincendo 21-20 nei ultimi secondi poil'arbitro fiscia credo che gli Irlandesi credesero che era tutto finito ma era punizione per il Galles tutta la pressione su Leigh Halfpenny un bravissimo calciatore ma mai stato sotto tutta quella pressione il calcio lo fa e il Galles ha vinto. Una bellissima partita voi lo avete visto.

Wales win 23-13 against the Pumas 3 trys to 1 is pretty good.

Ireland score 3 tries to 2 but the French still managed to win 22-26.

Scotland win 23-12 against Italy, the Scotish deserved to win but if the Italians had a better kicker they mite of had a chance. One good thing 20.000 people saw my interviews in the programme.
La Scozia vince 23-12 contro l'Italia, Scozia lo meritava la vittoria ma se gli Italiani avessero un bravo calciatore forse avrebbero avuto uno chance. Una cosa buona 20.000 persone hanno visto le mie interviste nella programma.

Japan give Italy a scare

Italy were forced to come from behind at half-time to beat Japan 31-24 in a thrilling World Cup warm up Test at the Stadio Manuzzi in Cesena on Saturday. The Azzurri trailed 17-14 at half time before two second half tries courtesy of their experienced front row saved the day.

Italia sono state fatte a venire da dietro a metà tempo per battere il Giappone in una Coppa del Mondo emozionante warm up Test presso la Stadio Manuzzi di Cesena 31-24 il Sabato. Gli Azzurri trainati 17-14 a metà tempo prima secondo due metà cerca per gentile concessione di loro esperto prima fila salvato la giornata.
