Siena vs Firenze 1931 under 14s

Hiya, on Saturday we played our first match of the season against Firenze 1931 on a  very wet and muddy pitch after having non stop rain for a couple of days. The day started well when I was selected as captain for the season and it just got better, we went on to win a very hard and tight match against a team that we knew were favorites and to come out on top is always a great feeling, the boys were great they tackled amazingly and never gave up, the final score was 12-0. Next week we are playing Prato Sesto 1, another team who will be extremely difficult to play but like on Saturday we will give it our all and never give up!

I have also got my second under 14 regional trials tomorrow in Arezzo I will let you all know how it went later on in the week.

Ehilà, il Sabato abbiamo giocato la nostra prima partita della stagione contro Firenze 1931 su un campo molto bagnato e fangoso, dopo che abbia piovuto non stop per un paio di giorni. La giornata è iniziata bene quando sono stato selezionato come capitano per la stagione ed è è stata migliorata, siamo andati a vincere un match molto duro e stretto contro una squadra che sapevamo che erano favoriti e di uscire in vittoriosi è sempre una bella sensazione, i ragazzi sono stati grandi hanno placcato incredibilmente e non hanno mai mollato, il punteggio finale è stato di 12-0, la prossima settimana giociamo Prato Sesto 1, un'altra squadra che sarà estremamente difficile da giocare, ma come il Sabato ci metteremo tutta e mai molleremo

Ho anche il mio secondo under 14 allenamenti regionali domani ad Arezzo vi farò tutti sapere come è andata più avanti nel corso della settimana.

Match on weekkend!!!!

I am playing in a small tournament tomorrow with 3 teams (Siena, Pistoia and Lions Amaranto.) We have played Lions Amaranto before and have won, and have heard that Pistoia are nothing to worry about. So we are more than confident but know that we need to go out there like any other match, give it are all and never surrender!, but we are taking a bit a second team so some of the guys can get some experience.

I have been asked to go and play Firenze 1931 the team we played against last weekend, and at the moment I really don't know what to do. It's really hard to decide!!. But please if you have any advice I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

P.S The Heineken cup final is tomorrow Toulon vs Clermont i want Toulon to win but it will be a tight game.

 Sto giocando in un piccolo torneo domani con 3 squadre (Siena, Pistoia e Lions Amaranto.) Abbiamo giocato Lions Amaranto prima e abbiamo vinto, e abbiamo sentito che Pistoia è nulla di cui preoccuparsi. Quindi siamo più che sicuri, ma sappiamo che abbiamo bisogno di andare là fuori come qualsiasi altra partita, dare di tutto e mai arrendersi!, Ma stiamo prendendo un po 'una seconda squadra in modo da alcuni dei ragazzi possono fare esperienza.

Mi è stato chiesto di andare a giocare a Firenze 1931 la squadra che abbiamo giocato contro lo scorso fine settimana, e al momento io davvero non so cosa fare. E 'davvero difficile decidere!. Ma per favore, se avete qualche consiglio sarei davvero grato. Grazie.


PS Il finale della Heineken Cup è domani Tolone vs Clermont voglio Tolone per vincere ma sarà un 
gioco stretto.

Rugby weekend!!

Me and Billy.

Hi, we played Firenze 1931 on the weekend and lost in a very hard match. I played scrum-half as I said would be, I think I played well considering it was the first time I had played in that position. I got took of in the last five minutes of the game, but the boys played well they tackled hard and gave it their all, even though Firenze definitely deserved to win.

Cavalieri Prato also played on the weekend and won in their first play-off match against Calvisano, my friend Billy scored there first try! the final score 24-6 it was a great game to watch and we had good fun at the meal after the match.

Ciao, abbiamo giocato Firenze 1931 durante il fine settimana e perso in un match molto duro. Ho giocato mediano di mischia come ho detto sarebbe, credo di aver giocato bene considerando che era la prima volta che avevo giocato in quella posizione. Sono uscito negli ultimi cinque minuti della partita, ma i ragazzi hanno giocato bene placcato duro e dato di tutto, anche se Firenze sicuramente meritava di vincere.



Cavalieri Prato giocato anche nel fine settimana e ha vinto in là prima gara play-off contro il Calvisano, il mio amico Billy ha segnato lì prima meta!, Il punteggio finale di 24-6 è stata una grande partita da guardare e buon divertimento dopo la partita.

Just Me

Hiya, i think I better tell you guys what has been going on in the last few months (rugby wise) obliviously!.
Well, I am playing fly-half for Siena under 14 (fantastic) I have played every match of the season so far and have come off only once. I have scored 3 tries not that many compared to last seasons 17 tries, but that is not important. We have won a few and lost a few, but all the guys know that we can do so much better. From  what I have seen a lot of the boys mentality towards the game has changed, they take it a lot more seriously than they did at the start of the season. Sometimes it is hard going in to a game knowing that we have all worked hard and want it so much, and then coming out, and it just doesen't go your way. But we have won our last 3 matches and don't want to stop now. Last weekend we played Firenze 1931 and won 31-22 it was a very famous win for us, because it was the first time Siena under 14 had ever beaten Firenze in Siena's history.

As you will all know the Six Nations has started, I think it has been quite an odd six nations so far with Italy beating France, England beating Ireland and then Wales beating France after not having won in their last 8 games. Anyway will see. I'm of to Rome on Saturday to see Italy v Wales, that will be an interesting match.
I'll try to keep in touch more, but you know with school, rugby, girls, no sorry just school and rugby.
P.S Whoever gets to watch the matches at the weekend do let me know what you thoughts about the matches.

Ciao, penso che meglio vi dico ragazzi che cosa sta succedendo nell'ultimo pochi mesi (rugby saggio) ovviamente. Bene, sto giocando mediano d'apertura per Siena under 14 (fantastico) ho giocato tutte le partite della stagione seminare lontano e sono venuti di una sola volta. Io ho segnato 3 mete non che molti rispetto all'ultima stagione 17  mete, ma questo non è importante. Abbiamo vinto alcuni e perso un paio, ma tutti i ragazzi sanno che possiamo fare molto meglio di scrofa. Da che cosa io ho visto un sacco di ragazzi ha cambiato mentalità verso il gioco lo prendono molto più seriamente di quanto hanno fatto all'inizio della stagione. A volte è difficile andando a un gioco sapendo che tutti abbiamo lavorato duramente e vuole seminare molto e poi venire e appena doesen ' t andare la tua strada. Ma abbiamo vinto le nostre ultime 3 partite e non voglio smettere ora. Lo scorso fine settimana abbiamo giocato Firenze 1931 e  vinto 31-22 che è stata una vittoria molto famosa per noi, perché era la prima volta Siena under 14 aveva mai battuto Firenze nella storia di Siena. Come tutti sapete che i sei nazioni hanno iniziato, penso che è stato abbastanza una strana sei nazioni seminano molto con l'Italia batte la Francia, Inghilterra battendo l'Irlanda e il Galles poi battendo la Francia dopo non aver vinto nel loro ultimo 8 giochi. Qualsiasi che vedremo. Io sono a Roma il sabato a vedere l'Italia v Galles, che sarà una partita interessante. Cercherò di tenere a toccare più, ma non si sa con scuola, rugby, ragazze, non mi dispiace solo scuola e rugby. PS Chi arriva a vedere la partita di sabato fatemi sapere quello che avete pensato sulla partita. Last year at Topolino. Und 12.

Sorry I have not written alot lately but I've been so busy with school and especially with rugby training.
I train 3 times a week and have a match every weekend. As I told you in the last post I did, I went to see Italy vs New Zealand on the 17 of November  it was a great match ( for italy).  The All Blacks won 42-10 but were brought down to Italys level, this is something that Italy does very well to good teams. New Zealand made it look hard for themselves, but they are just so much better than  Italy to make the difference. But I have got to say it was an amazing experience to see the the All Blacks.

As for me playing rugby, our team Cus Siena Rugby Und. 14 have played a few matches in the last weekends or so.  We played Livorno and Perugia and lost to both much bigger sides than us. We also lost to Vasari Arezzo and Firenze, but we beat Gispi Prato. This season so far we have not played well, we have some good players with individual skills but we lack agression, determination, and the true will to win. I find it very hard to play and enjoy my rugby when most of the team are just there for fun. I'm finding this season difficult as I am playing more as a team player and not backing my own skills, I need to get back to the old Archie and back myself. I think it's going to be a very long season.

Couldn't watch the England v New Zealand game live as I was playing at the time. Watched the match later, WHAT A GAME.
Shame I couldn't watch it with my friend Billy Ngawini as it would have been nice to make fun of him for once. I don't think I'll get that chance often.
Also went to watch Billy play today against Stade Francais at Prato. Billy played really well and set up a great try in the first half but Stade where just to strong and PINK and won 23- 37.

p.s but I don't no why Cavalieri played a Prop on the wing.

Scusa se non ho scritto un sacco ultimamente ma sono stato così occupato con la scuola e soprattutto con la formazione di rugby.

Mi alleno 3 volte a settimana e hanno una partita ogni fine settimana. Come vi ho detto nel post precedente sono andato a vedere Italia vs Nuova Zelanda il 17 novembre è stata una grande partita (per l'Italia). Gli All Blacks ha vinto 42-10, ma sono stati portati fino al livello Italiano, questo è qualcosa che l'Italia fa molto bene a buone squadre. Nuova Zelanda ha fatto sembrare difficile per se stessi, ma sono solo molto meglio che in Italia per fare la differenza. Ma ho avuto modo di dire che è stata un'esperienza incredibile per vedere i gli All Blacks.


Quanto a me a giocare a rugby, la nostra squadra del Cus Siena Rugby Und. 14 hanno giocato qualche partita negli ultimi fine settimana o giù di lì. Abbiamo giocato Livorno e Perugia e ha perso entrambidue squadre molto più grandi di noi. Abbiamo anche perso il Vasari Arezzo e Firenze, ma abbiamo battuto Gispi Prato. In questa stagione fino ad ora non abbiamo giocato bene, abbiamo alcuni buoni giocatori con abilità individuali, ma ci manca aggressività, la determinazione, e la vera volontà di vincere. Trovo molto difficile da giocare e godere il mio rugby, quando la maggior parte della squadra sono lì solo per divertimento. Mi sto trovando in questa stagione difficile come sto giocando più come un giocatore di squadra e non sforzo le mie capacità, ho bisogno di tornare al vecchio Archie e ritorno me stesso. Penso che sarà una stagione molto lunga.


Non potevo vedere il Inghilterra v Nuova Zelanda partita in diretta mentre stavo giocando in quel momento. lo guardato dopo CHE PARTITA.

Peccato che non ho potuto vederlo con il mio amico Billy Ngawini come sarebbe stato bello prendere gioco di lui per una volta. Io non penso di avere questa possibilità spesso.

Sono anche andato a vedere giocare Billy oggi contro lo Stade Francais a Prato. Billy giocato molto bene e creare una prova eccellente nel primo tempo, ma Stade era forte forte e rosa e ha vinto 23 - 37.


ps ma non ho capito perche i Cavalieri hanno giocato un pilone_ sull'ala

Happy Easter To All / Buona Pasqua a Tutti

Happy Easter to all, I just wanted to say thank you to all the people that follow my blog and specially to my Mum and Dad, who came up with they idea of starting the blog. I've had to really work hard on my school work and that is the reason I haven't been doing my blog, so this is what I've been up to other than school work in the last month or so.

1. A couple of saturdays ago I went to see Cavalieri v Rovigo, it was a very important match for both teams, Cavalieri played very well and deserved to win (witch they did), IT FINISHED 27-23 for Cavalieri my friend Billy Ngawini crosed for the first try and Dion Berryman scored twice later on in the game,and with Riccardo Boccino scoring all his and also named man ofthe match.

2. The next day we had a big tournament in Arezzo with 20 teams, we came 11th better than last year when we came 13th.

I am now first choice for Capitan this a great pleasure,our first match we played was against Verona which we lost 5-0 because most of the team were still asleep, our next match was against Lazio which we drew 3-3 but it was still rubish beacuse that was a game that we easily should have won. The next match we all thought it would be the hardest but in the end we played the best we have in the whole season I loved it we all played well, sadly in the last second we let their scrum half score,  we lost 1-0 in the last second, it was heartbreaking for all of the boys then we played our derby against Firenze who we have not lost to for the whole season, we won 6-0 with me scoring once, you can see me showing off after my try I am quite full of my self some times, which isn't good.

We came 3rd in our pool then we played the playoffs to come 9-10-11-12 we first played Roma Primavera which we lost 4-1 then we had to play Heidefeld a German team even Clemens Von Grumbkow showed up to support the German team, we won 5-2, and thats it tournament FINITO!!

Buona Pasqua a tutti, volevo solo ringraziare tutti quelli che seguono il mio blog e specialmente mia Mamma e Babbo che sono quelli che li e' venuta l'idea di iniziare il blog. Ho dovuto lavorare tanto al momento ed e' per questo il motivo che non ho fatto tanto sul blog. Allora queste sono le cose che ho fatto apparte i copiti.

Un po di Sabati fa sono sono andato a vedere giocare I Cavalieri Prato v Rovigo e' stata una partita importante per tutte e due le squadre, I Cavalieri hanno giocato bene e meritivamente hanno guadagnato la vittoria. E' Finita 27-23 Il mio amico Billy Ngawini ha fatto la prima meta per i Cavalieri e Dion Berryman ha segnato 2 mete piu in la nella partita, e con Riccardo Boccino a fare tutti i suoi calci e' anche nominato Man of the match.

2. Il prossimo giorno avevamo un grande torneo ad Arezzo dove c'erano 20 squadre siamo arrivati 11 meglio dell'anno scorso quando siamo arrivati 13.

La nostra prima partita era contro Verona la cui abbiamo perso 5-0 perche' quasi tutta la squadra era rimasta a letto, la prossima partita era contro il Lazio con cui abbiamo pareggiato 3-3 ma faceva sempre scifo perche' era una partita che si doveva sicuramente vincere.
Poi abbiamo dovuto giocare il Roma che secondo tutti noi sarebbe stata la piu' difficile ma abbiamo giocato benissimo il meglio che abbiamo giocato tutto l'anno tristemente ci siamo fatti fa meta nell'ultimo minuto, abbiamo perso 1-0 nell'ultimo secondo era un spaccacuore per tutti i ragazzi.
Poi abbiamo giocato contro il Firenze con cui non abbiamo mai perso per tutta la stagione, abbiamo vinto 6-0.

Siamo arrivati terzi nel girone e poi siamo andati nei play-offs per arrivare 9-10-11-12, poi abbiamo giocato Roma Primavera dove abbiamo perso 4-1 poi abbiamo giocato il Heidefeld una squadra Tedesca e' venuto anche Clemens Von Grumbkow a visitare la squadra tedesca, abbiamo vinto 5-2, ed e' finita qua Torneo FINISH!!

Here I Go

On Sunday I woke up and I just couldn't move my neck, it was really scarey because that morning I had a tournament at are home ground in Siena. I didn't tell my dad because he's my coach and he would of probably said "well I have to put you on the bench or sorry but you can't play but you can come and watch", but I can't do that, I've always started a game and I'm not intending to stop now, thankyou. So I got in the car, when we got to the ground it felt even worse so at that point I was that close to shouting out loud (THAT I HATED MYSELF,  FIRST MY ARM NOW MY NECK WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE WRONG WITH IT). After I'd changed we where all in the changing rooms and my dad and Roberto came in to nominate the two Captains for the day, because there are always two teams (BLACK AND WHITE). He says Beppe was the white's captain and I was back being captain for the blacks, it was great to know that I was captain but I was worried my neck could get worse. Are first match was against Firenze B, I played outside centre, my friend Pietro scored our first try in the corner but after 5 mins we where struggling in the middle so they leveled the score 1-1 and I still hadn't touched the ball, then there was a penalty for us on our try line so Tommaso kicked the ball down the field with me chasing, nobody was back and it bounced perfectly up to me and over for the try I went diving, as soon as I touched the ground my neck went click, I got up and my neck felt so much better. That game finished 2-1 to us. Then we had to play Firenze A that one finished 4-1 for us and me scoring twice. After that we had to play Cavalieri Prato by then we where all quite confident we won 5-1 me crossing 3 times. We had to play are teammates Siena White after that and we didn't really take it that seriously which was stupid as we won 3-2 with me crossing twice. By then we had pretty much won it all because even if we had to play Arezzo the toughest game they had already lost 1 but we still wanted to win but at that time me and my team had all run out of steam. We where losing 2-1 with not long to go but all of a sudden the ball was coming out to the wing at a rate of knots, when I got the ball I didn't even think about side-steping or rolling, so I went at full speed as straight as possible I got past a few and over for the try.(YES) We had drawn with Arezzo and won the whole tournament it was great. P.S Our next tournament is in Arezzo and I'm sure they'll want victory this time.

Domenica mi sono alzato e non riuscivo a senttirmi il collo era davvero pauroso perche' quella mattina avevo un concentramento al nostro campo di Siena non lo volevo dire al mio babbo perche' lui e' il mio allenatore e mi avrebbe detto o dovro' metterti in pancchina o non puoi giocare pero' ti potero' a guardare ma io questo non lo posso fare ho sempre inizato una partita e non intendo smettere ora, grazie. Sono entrato in macchina e quando siamo arrivati al campo il collo mi faceva ancora piu' male di prima stavo per urlare piu' forte che potevo (MI ODDIO COSI TANTO PRIMA IL BRACCIO ORA IL COLLO MA CHE DIAVOLO CI SARA' DI MALE QUESTA VOLTA). Dopo che mi ero cambiato eravamo tutti negli spogliatoi mio babbo e Roberto sono entrati per nominare i due capitani del giorno perche' ci sono sempre due squadre (NERI E BIANCHI). Ha detto che Peppe era il capitano dei bianchi e io quello dei neri ero contento di essere il capitano ma avevo paura che il collo potesse peggiorare. La nostra prima partita era contro Firenze B il mio amico Pietro ha segnato la prima meta ma dopo 5 minuti  stavamo perdendo nel ragruppamento e' hanno pareggiato il punteggio 1-1 e io ancora non avevo toccato palla ma al l'improviso c'era un punizione a favore nostro dalla nostra linea di meta Tommaso ha calciato la palla piu' forte che poteva con me che seguivo la palla a tutto fuoco e visto che non c'era nessuno dietro mi e' rimbalzata benissimo e meta tufandomi appena tocco' terra il mio collo fecci click! Mi sono alzato e il mio collo stava tutto a posto. Quella partita e' finita 2-1 per noi. Poi abbiamo giocato il Firenze A quella partita l'abbiamo vinta 4-1 con me faccendo due mete. Dopo quelle partite eravamo molto convinti abbiamo battuto i Cavalieri Prato 5-1 io ho fatto 3 mete. Poi abbiamo dovuto giocare i nostri compagni il Siena Bianco non ci siamo comportati molto sul serio che era stupido pero abbiamo vinto 3-2 e con me faccendo 2 mete. A questo punto avevamo gia vinto tutto il concentramento anche se dovevamo giocare contro l'Arezzo la partita piu' dura perche' loro avevano gia' perso una partita ma a quel punto io e la mia squadra eravamo tutti stanci stavamo perdendo 2-1 con poco tempo rimasto ma poi mi sono accorto che la palla usciva velocemente all'ala quando ho presso la palla non ho pensato di fare finte o cose del genere ma sono andato diritto a tutta velocita' e ho fatto meta,(SI!) avevamo pareggiato con l'Arezzo e avevamo vinto tutto il concentramento era grandioso. P.S La nostra prossima concentramento sara' ad Arezzo e di sicuro questa volta voranno la vittoria.

CHE DIFFERENZA' RAGAZZI

My team played on Sunday at home against Bombo Firenze and against Empoli-Firenze. My coach Roberto always says when we're playing at home no one is aloud to sing but Siena, but I'm afraid that we will not be able to make that happen until we work on are tackling and going on are own all the time. But I guess it went ok, we had 2 teams as normal Siena white won there first match against Empoli-Firenze 9-1 and lost against Bombo 5-1 and the Black team beat Empoli-Firenze 7-0 and lost against Bombo 4-0. P.S i can't wait to get back on that pitch.

I hope we will be able to sing soon but we need to start playing as a team and not on our own we need to learn to pass to each other.

La mia squadra ha giocato in casa domenica contro il Bombo e il Empoli-Firenze. Il mio mister pero' viene semplicemente chiamato Roberto ci dicce' sempre che nessuno po' cantare a Siena tranne il Siena, ma credo proprio che non riusciremo a farlo se non si migliora sui placaggi e il vizio di andare da soli. Ma direi che abbiamo fatto abbastanza bene, eravamo 2 squadre come sempre Siena bianchi hanno vinto la loro prima partita 9-0 contro il Empoli-Firenze e hanno perso contro il Bombo 5-1 la squadra nera invece ha vinto contro il Empoli-Firenze 7-0  e perso contro il Bombo 4-0.

Spero che pottremo cantare presto ma dobbiamo iniziare a giocare come una squadra e non da soli e si deve impare a passarci sempre la palla.

I went to see my team play yesterday at a tournament in Sesto Fiorentino I was my Dad's right hand man, I would rather he was my left hand, beacuse I've only got 1 at the moment.
We had 2 teams as normal each in diffrent pools the pools where.....

I was helping my Dad with Siena 2 for a change, our first match against Mugello was an easy win made difficult, it finished 5-1 for our team. Our second match against Firenze 2 was really tough and it all seemed to be going really bad when my friend Pietro one of the best players in the team hurt his knee diving into a tackle, he had to stay off the pitch a couple of minutes at that point we where 3-1 down with two minutes to go. I told him that as soon as he got back on they would score 2 tries to draw and when he went back on what happend? and of course are team scored 2 tries in the time of 1 minute, it amazing. Our last match against Bombo who are quite a good team, we just ran out of steam and we got beaten quite convinsingly 4-0.

The other team had an ok day too, drawing against Cavalieri Prato 4-4 and drawing 2-2 against Firenze 1 but losing 3-2 to the home team Sesto Fiorentino.

I think that we are getting better but until we can learn to tackle properly bigger teams will always beat us, we still seem to be scared of the big boys.


Ieri sono andato a vedere la mia squadra giocare a un concentramento a Sesto Fiorentino ero il braccio destro del mio babbo sarebbe meglio se lui fosse il mio braccio sinistro visto che ho solo uno al momento avevamo 2 squadre come il solito in gironi diversi i gironi erano........

Aiutavo il mio Babbo con il Siena 2 la nostra 1 partita contro il Mugello era una vittoria facile diventata difficile e' finita 5-1 per noi. La nostra 2 partita era molto dura contro il Firenze 2 e sembrava di andare molto male quando il mio amico Pietro uno dei migliori giocatori della squadra si e ' fatto male al ginocchio tufandosi per placcare a dovuto rimanere fuori per un' paio di minuti a quel punto stavvamo perdendo 3-1 con 2 minuti alla fine. Li ho detto che appena rientrava in campo avrebbero fatto 2 mete per pareggiare e quando e' rientrato che 2 mete era un miracolo. La nostra ultima partita contro il Bombo una squadra abbastanza forte eravamo stanci e siamo stati sconfitti facilmente 4-0.

L'altra squadra ha avuto anche loro una bella giornata pareggiando la prima contro i Cavalieri Prato 4-4 e pareggiando 2-2 contro il Firenze 1 ma perdendo l'ultima 3-2 contro il Sesto Fiorentino.

Credo che stiamo migliorando ma fin quando riusciamo a placcare le squadre forti ci batterano sempre.
