Last Weekends Six Nations 2012

Rugby Anybody?

On Saturday I went to a very snowy Rome to watch Italy play England in the 2012 Six Nations. Italy played well to finish the first half 12-6 up,they scored two tries one from Giovanbattista Venditti and the second from Tommaso Benvenuti and England scored two penaltys. In the second half England came back with another charged down kick and try from Charlie Hodgson and conversion from Owen Farrell but after that England continued to play well and won the game 19-15. Man of the match Italian Captain Sergio Parisse.

As you all know the France vs Ireland game was called off with ten minutes before kick-off, well done to the Irish for playng touch rugby to entertain the fans.

The other game the next day was between Wales and Scotland the star was Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny scoring a total of 22 points with two tries and a few kicks in a 27-13 victory over the Scots. Now Wales are definately the ones to beat in the 2012 Rugby Six Nations.

Man of the match capitano dell' Italia Sergio Parisse.

  1. What's the news then on the new coach, do you think he doing a good job introducing new players or should he have left a kicker on the field so Italy could have kicked the last two kicks?

    1. I personaly think Brunel is doing a pretty good job beacuse the games against France and England were both pretty good shows from the Italians but I think he should of kept Burton on to kick even if he wasn't in the best form, and maybe of put Tobias at scrum half but I'm glad he's choosing some new boys and if you've heard of him Luca Morisi who plays for Crociati who came on for a bit in the second half. What do you think?

  2. Any comments on the refereeing in the Scotland match? I didn't see it, but heard there were a few dodgy decisions.

  3. Great reporting again Archie. It must have been freezing, the Italians should be congratulated, particularly as the English are used to cold weather.
